So my hubby is gone and finally getting into the groove of Afghanistan...thank goodness too...I was worried for him (being bored this whole time). Thanksgiving was pretty great...Barcelona was a wonderful destination for the holiday! I hated to see it without Scott but I wouldn't mind going back one day if he wanted to see it for himself. We had a great apartment in a fabulous location and getting around and seeing things was really easy. Another European vacation that we can check off the list and honestly say we say loads of stuff! The family enjoyed themselves as well (even though they fought a lot...man that has been driving me crazy).
Now we're on to the Christmas season! I have barely done anything to get ready. Obviously I'm not decorating the house this year. The kids and I leave Sunday for the states. Please God let this be worth it (A Christmas of arguement between the rents and the sister isn't what I call fun). I have done a little shopping to get ready but saving most of it for the mall and WM and Target of course. So far what I've done has been some online shopping and had it all mailed to my mom's house.
I'm already ready for the holidays to be over too. It's no fun this year with the hubby gone. This is the second time I think I've spent the holidays without him. It sucks. I'm hoping once I get back here and resettled into our routines that the days fly by. We're already planning our next vaca once he returns (a little French trip!) Disney Paris for the kids, Paris and Normandy for us.
Guess I'd better spend some of this quiet time this morning getting Christmas cards made...I'm going super simple this year. I'm so behind!
