Homemade Christmas pressies

This is what I made my parents this year.  Of course it was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.  I found all the wood in the scrap pile at the base wood shop.  Added color with scraps from my paper pile.  Stickers spelled out the words on the very bottom piece, and I put the Cricut to work cutting out all the grandchildren's names.  I found one of those wire like picture tree thingys and took five of the sticks off.  Poked holes into each piece of wood and stuck the sticks in and secured them with a little Gorilla Glue.  I had the pics already from last year when I had planned to do a calendar (yeah that didn't happen lol).  Anyway this is the finished product and I'm anxiously waiting to hear that the mail finally arrived at my mom's house with it in there!
Another handmade gift this year was this one that I made for Miss O's teacher.  I had intended to only do a piece of wood with the LET IT SNOW part.  But my friend got me this awesome piece of wood and I couldn't let the other four sides go nekkid!  So I did all four sides for the seasons.  Again I put scraps and my Cricut to work.  O was thrilled with the BACK TO SCHOOL section and couldn't wait to show her teacher that particular side since the classroom is safari themed.
and this was the gift I put together for my hubby.  I'm sure like everything else I make him I'll end up with it but it was the thought that counted right?  That's okay I love it's simplicity and it will go well on my wall later too!

What wonderful handmade gifts you've created. I love "making" gifts - they are always so much more special knowing that someone has put time and love into them :)
