Sibling rivalry at it's best I'm sure but I'm spent....done! This no daddy at home thing has gotten old and I'm ready for some back up. If they aren't screaming and yelling at each other they are rough-housing! If they aren't making messes and not picking them up they are being too quiet and probably doing something they really aren't supposed to. If they aren't back talking they are just flat out disrespectful in a number of other ways. Oh Lord I do need patience but PEACE is what I seek.
Enter in Mom...aka Memaw. Thank goodness my dad is willing to part with her for a few weeks to come and help me out. I can already feel the peace coming...by the time she gets here next month I think I'll have a little bliss to add to that. It's going to be nice to just have some one on one time with my mom. The kids got a rude awakening last night after some nasty attitudes when I once again let them know how disappointed and hurt they made me. They thought Memaw was coming because she missed them since we left the states from the holidays and was going to come and play...well I burst that bubble right quick. While that is part of the reason she is coming I let them know that the biggest reason she was coming was so I wouldn't hurt them LOL That kind of sobered them a little.
And I stress a little. We've been up about 1 hour so far this morning and we've had screaming matches and fights over a specific part of our very large sectional couch. We've had hair pulling to see who could beat the other to their bean bags first. Arguements about what movie to watch. Griping cause they are still hungry after eating their breakfast. Geez...1 hour since our wake up; please oh Lord don't let me implode today! There's only so much I can ignore.
I have two tasks today...take out the recycling and get laundry going. once I get that done I plan on emersing myself in my scrapbooking and hopefully finding some relaxation in my papers and photos!
