White

It's all white outside and it's about dang time.  It's been a very cold winter all across Europe this year.  The locals have been saying the news would report snow, snow, snow and even our new reports were calling for snow but were we seeing any of it?  Nope.  Although way down in Naples it's been snowing heavy and they are on the coast...we're way up in the mountains!  Even the canals in Venice have been freezing over!  The wind here has been horrible!  Temps ranging from freezing temps to the teens.  Bitter, unbearable cold for this area.  But this morning it all changed...outside is beautiful snow and it's still slowy falling.  I'm not holding out hope for it to last long but part of me hopes it does.  Of course I should really care less cause next year I'll be back in Alaska with all the snow I could ever want!
On the agenda for today is crafty stuff.  Some fun time scrappin'  and working on some altered projects!  Yesterday I finished off the kids Valentines.  I'll have to post pics of my creations.  The girl wanted cell phone Valentines that she saw on familyfun.com and the boy (well he's a 5th grader...do they still hand them out?) I just did simple Mad Libs that I found online and rolled them up to hand out at their class party.
Let me finish off this post with the 10 things that made me smile this week...
  1. Discovering How I Met Your Mother...I am really enjoying that show
  2. Getting ready for the next Survivor pool....new episode for this group starts next week
  3. Friends over for dinner
  4. Our house still staying out of range of the horrible stomach bug hitting the base people
  5. Counting down the days until I'm back in Dublin celebrating my fave holiday
  6. Deciding to take a family weekend trip to Lake Bled for skiing (hubby and kids) and the spa (all me) next weekend
  7. Sneaking to my hubby's office for a little nooky
  8. Nose spray
  9. Finding a book I thought I lost
  10. Celebrating the birthdays of my two best friends...one day after another.....across the miles (man I miss those girls so much)
